Expertise and experience

Ewout Steenbergen graduated from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) with a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science and subsequently, from the University of Rochester (US) and Nyenrode University (Netherlands) with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Ewout Steenbergen started his career in 1993 with ING Group and held multiple leadership positions in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, and the US. He served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Voya Financial, Inc., a financial services company in the US, from 2010 to 2016. From 2016 to 2024, he served as EVP, Chief Financial Officer at S&P Global Inc. (S&P). In addition to his role as CFO, Ewout Steenbergen was appointed as President, S&P Engineering Solutions in 2022 when S&P merged with IHS Markit, and led Kensho Technologies, an artificial intelligence company, since 2018. Ewout Steenbergen has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Booking Holdings since March 15, 2024. He also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of UNICEF USA until June 2024, and remains a member of the Board of Director.
