As the Grand Patron of the Europa Favart project and European Creation, AXA strengthens its commitment to artistic creation by becoming the main sponsor of the opera production of Samson.

Ranked among the best opera creations of the year 2024 by the New York Times, Samson is a free creation by director Claus Guth and conductor Raphaël Pichon, inspired by Jean-Philippe Rameau and Voltaire's original project from 1734, which was censored by royal authorities at the time.
Samson is a timeless work, served by overwhelming music, which explores universal themes such as love pitfalls, impossible self-control, and fate. After the success of this unprecedented production in July 2024 at the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, it will be back on the stage of the Opéra-Comique in Paris from March 2025.
AXA's support for this exceptional production reflects the company's commitment to promoting and accompanying bold works that enrich the European cultural heritage and offer unprecedented artistic perspectives, enabling the evolution of opera creation in France. This support is in line with AXA's ongoing patronage for culture and co-creation of ambitious and contemporary European works.
